Wendi Wetherington, Founder-Owner of  New Beginnings

By the Grace of God, Wendi has been delivered and set-free from heroin for several years now, but one of life's hardest struggles for her  still is how to deal with her anger. Wendi was in and  out of abusive relationships & during her active addiction was physically, mentally, & sexually assaulted to the point of near death & felt her only way out was suicide. She was a scared woman  who was extremely angry with God, herself, & the world.  One day while she was in treatment she was given an assignment to journal. Wendi's life soon took a turn around & she has never been the same since. She says it was when she decided to write out her prayers that God began really speaking clearly to her and literally transforming her from the inside out. It was during these encounters while writing that her passion for poetry & reaching others giving them Hope started to grow more & more each day.

Now, years later Wendi says every time she picks up a pen something comes alive in her. Her pain now has  a purpose & it inspired her to found , " NEW BEGINNINGS"- a ministry that teaches how to respond to life consequences and curve-balls, instead of reacting. Once you've come into contact with Wendi you will always remember her as the "girl who never gives up"!   No matter how many times she fails, she doesn't give up. Until she is called to heaven Wendi's greatest desire is  to reach as many people as she can to let them know they are not alone, there is a way out, & there is no such thing as a hopeless Child of God.Wendi is a new creation, the old has gone and behold all things have been made new. She ended by saying a fun fact about her is that you can always find pickles, honey buns, & hot sauce in her purse.. She says yes she still has an addictive personality and she is seeking help for the honey buns !!
